Qualifications of a Physician of the Traditional Tibetan Medical System
A physician of the traditional Tibetan medical system is certified by the Tibetan Medical and Astrological Institute of Dharamsala, India. He/She undergoes five years of study and two years of clinical practice, covering the theory and education of Tibetan Medicine, including the subjects of etiology, pathology, diagnosis, Materia medica, diet, behaviour, treatments and moral responsibility of a Tibetan doctor.
